The Job Centre Trust
Bosasa is founded on firm principles that are focused on contributing to the growth and well-being of South Africa. Whilst Full Facilities Management is our main corporate drive, the Job Centre Trust is one of our contributions to our social responsibility. It also forms part of our response to the Correctional Services White Paper.
By educating a person, granting that individual the opportunity to better him or herself and creating a character building environment, we believe that the chain of poverty and crime can be broken. It’s for these reasons that Bosasa proudly facilitates the rehabilitation of willing and able offenders.
Bosasa believes that employment and personal achievement is the best form of welfare and, more importantly, it’s the most sustainable. The Job Centre Trust provides an opportunity to those who qualify to become useful, constructive members of society through the following:
- Linking the young person back to his primary community
- Promoting accountability, insight into behaviour and personal responsibility
- Preparation of the ex-offender for the economic market
- Effective skilling and competency building for market related opportunities
The Job Centre Trust works tirelessly to drive collaborative partnerships between socially concerned industry leaders, the SETAs, NGOs and Institutions. In return, this has proven that positive relationships often result in success stories.
We’re currently in talks with several companies regarding the placement of effectively rehabilitated ex-offenders. These companies include:
- McDonalds
- Sun International
- South African Chefs Association (SACA)
